Welcome to the First Church of God in Hartselle, Alabama.  Our Focus in 2008, is "Someone Who Counts."  As the Pastor, I believe churches have overloaded the people with information!  We go to church and hear a Sunday School lesson on one topic: then we hear songs on another topic; and finally, there is the sermon which speaks on yet another topic.  The end result is "information overload!" 

 In 2008, my vision for the church is to concentrate on 4 areas: Commitment,Competence, Connection, and Character.  All of these qualities are necessary ingredients of someone who counts!  Our Sunday school classes, bulletins, and sermons will focus on these areas with the goal in mind "Someone Who Counts!"
